Overview
The Honorary Consulate of Brazil in Reykjavik provides local consular assistance for Brazilian citizens in Iceland. The Honorary Consul is Mr. Kristján Þórarinn Davíðsson, in post since 2011. Brazil does not maintain a resident embassy in Iceland — the Brazilian Embassy in Oslo (Norway) is accredited to Iceland and handles full diplomatic and consular matters including passport renewals and visa applications. The honorary consulate can authenticate documents and provide initial guidance, but refers complex consular cases to Oslo. Brazilian visitors to Iceland are a growing niche, often combining Reykjavik with transatlantic stopovers via Icelandair's Keflavík hub.
Service Area
The consulate covers the entire Republic of Iceland. For full embassy services, contact the Brazilian Embassy in Oslo (+47 2254 0730, brasemb.oslo@itamaraty.gov.br).
