Overview
The Consulate of Colombia in Guangzhou covers southern China — the manufacturing and export heartland of Guangdong province. The Canton Fair is a major venue for Colombian exporters promoting coffee, flowers, emeralds and agricultural products. Guangdong's consumer market is one of China's largest and a growing destination for Colombian specialty goods. The consulate is located in the Guangzhou International Finance Center in Zhujiang New Town, the city's central business district.

The Canton Fair offers Colombian exporters biannual access to buyers from across China and Southeast Asia. Colombian coffee, cut flowers, emeralds and tropical fruits reach southern Chinese markets through the consulate's trade promotion activities. Guangdong's manufacturing sector also imports Colombian raw materials including ferronickel and coal.
