Mozambique Embassy in Washington

Embassy of Mozambique in Washington D.C., United States

Overview

The Embassy of the Republic of Mozambique in Washington, D.C. represents Mozambican interests in the United States and coordinates the bilateral relationship between the two countries. The U.S. is a major development partner supporting health programmes, education, economic growth, and governance in Mozambique. The embassy serves the Mozambican diaspora in the United States and processes visa applications for American citizens travelling to Mozambique for tourism (Indian Ocean diving, Bazaruto and Quirimbas archipelagos, Gorongosa National Park, Ilha de Moçambique), business (energy, mining, agriculture, infrastructure), development work, and academic exchange. Mozambique's Portuguese-speaking culture, over 2,500 km of Indian Ocean coastline, and diverse marine life make it a distinctive destination in Southern Africa.

Service Area

The embassy covers the entire United States of America.
