Kenyan applicants for UK visas — Visit, Student, Skilled Worker, Family — submit biometrics and documents at the VFS Global UK Visa Application Centre in Nairobi (with regional appointments also available in Mombasa); decisions issue from UK Visas and Immigration. The flow is sizeable and well-distributed across categories: Kenya has one of East Africa's largest UK-resident diasporas (concentrated in Reading, Slough and Leicester) which sustains the Family route, and Kenyan student presence at UK universities is long-established across medicine, engineering and business. The British High Commission on Upper Hill Road in Nairobi supports that visa work and provides consular services for British nationals across Kenya — passport renewal, notarial work, emergency assistance — alongside handling tourist consular trouble for the very substantial British safari and beach-tourism flow (Masai Mara migration, Amboseli with Kilimanjaro, the Diani / Watamu / Malindi coast, Mount Kenya).
